Features

The self-leveling hopper on the swing-away auger remains level even when the main auger is elevated to its maximum height. A single flighting hopper is standard on the 10" and 13", while the optional dual flighting low-profile hopper (standard on the 16") reduces hopper height by more than 2 1/2". The swing-away auger can be positioned on the right side or left side of the auger, adding flexibility for yards with limited space or restricted access. A power mover, optional on the 10" and 13" and standard on the 16", uses two hydraulic motors that move the swing-away auger, limiting the physical labor required.

The tapered thrust bearing at the top of the auger is torqued to remove pressure on the bottom end bearing for longer life and better wear. The flighting on all Farm King augers is connected with square couplers. Broken shear bolts on augers with round couplers can only be replaced after the auger has been manually emptied. The square coupling in a Farm King auger allows the flighting to continue turning, minimizing downtime.

Farm King Backsaver Augers feature two internal gearboxes for the intake auger assembly. Easy to maintain and service, these gearboxes do not restrict auger capacity. Cleanout is simplified with an optional reverse kit and an underside access panel.

The scissor lift undercarriage, exclusive to Farm King Backsaver Augers, requires less hydraulic pressure to raise and lower the auger. The wide undercarriage is stable and solid while still meeting transportation requirements. When the auger is at the desired position, a shut-off valve on the underside of the tube limits the circulation of the hydraulics so the auger will maintain its height.
