New Farm King Vertical Tillage Tool

July 19, 2016

Langham, SK – Buhler Industries is launching a new tillage tool designed for maximum seasonal flexibility in a variety of soil conditions. Available in 28', 32' and 36', the machine is available as the Farm King VT3000, through the Farm King dealer network.

Residue Management
The VT3000 is designed to manage heavy residue in the most difficult field conditions. It is capable of running at high speed (8 - 10 mph), at 0 degree gang angle for minimum disturbance, and up to 16 degrees (in 4 degree increments) for maximum residue management in heavy residue conditions. Further, these machines are able to run in a wide variety of soil, residue, and field conditions with the ability to chop, cut and size crop residue and move the soil and crop residue vertically with minimal soil compaction, and the ability to be less invasive while dealing with high residue conditions.

Multi-Season
Approach designed as a year-round multi-use tillage tool, the VT3000 offers the flexibility for pre-season and post-season use.

Spring: 0" - 3" deep to warm/dry/aerate soil; a secondary tillage pass to prepare/firm up seedbed after another primary tillage tool has been over the ground. Also for use in working down crop residue remaining after the previous season, or to incorporate manure or fertilizer into the soil.

Fall: For use in residue management instead of, or ahead of primary tillage, to manage heavy residue - to cut/chop/mix residue into the top 3" - 5" of soil; use in place of a heavy harrow to address down/lodged crop residue, clean up field edges, slough bottoms or wet areas. For incorporating manure or fertilized manure; level and spread out heavy crop residue; or cut and condition residue to help improve crop residue decay and reduce insect and disease concerns.

Unique Combination of Features

  • Adjustable gang angle (from 0 to 16 degrees) for use in a wide range of residue and field conditions. Setup for minimum disturbance / leave maximum residue on the surface or aggressive residue management to mix soil with crop residue.
  • Choice of blade spacing and blade size: 8" spacing with 20" or 22" blades that cuts & sizes residue into smaller pieces; 9" spacing with 22" or 24" blades in higher residue applications with more space between blades for residue flow.
  • Industry leading gang technology: 3,200 ft-lbs of torque, standard and extreme-duty bearings that provide maximum up-time and lower overall cost of ownership.
  • Heavy-duty machine with industry leading 800 lbs/ft (weight class) to ensure sufficient blade penetration in the most difficult field conditions.
  • Choice of finishing attachments; spiral flat-bar rolling baskets or 3-bar coil tine harrows to prepare an excellent seedbed.

Available now for fall delivery, the MSRP starts at CA$89,500 for a 28'.

Farm King Enhances Rear Blade Product Line

January 5, 2016

Winnipeg MB (Canada) – January 5, 2016 – Farm King has made improvements to the line of 3-point hitch mounted rear blades, including the release of the new 155 Series Rear Blade.

The new 155 Series maintains the most popular features of the outgoing 150 Series and features a higher moldboard, up to 21.25” from 18”. The added height improves the blade capacity and limits material from rolling over the back of the blade. The 155 Series blade is still available with dual gauge wheel kits, ratchet jacks, skid shoes and optional hydraulic cylinders for angle, offset and tilt. With the addition of a cross over relief valve, a larger angle cylinder and a redesigned king pin and mainframe arm, Farm King remains committed to quality and continuous improvement.

Farm King has been building a wide variety of rear blades for several decades. These blades are built using more steel than industry competitors, adding strength, longevity and durability to each blade. Farm King blades are available in five series and widths ranging from 4’ to 12’ for tractors from 15 HP to 150 HP.

Farm King Expands Snowblower Product Line

December 4, 2015

Winnipeg MB (Canada) – December 4th, 2015 – Two new snowblowers have been added to the Farm King and Allied by Farm King lines of Landscaping and Compact Implements. The addition of these snowblowers represents a broadening of the product offering, with improvements in performance and features unique to the Farm King line.

Propeller Series
What sets the Propeller Series apart is the aggressive new paddle-style propeller blades that replace the traditional auger flighting; this maximizes performance in extreme conditions with heavy, packed and wet snow. The rapid rotation of the auger with the propeller blade breaks down larger chunks of snow as they enter the machine and move toward the four-blade fan, creating a smoother flow of snow into the fan. The Farm King Propeller Series snowblowers are available in sizes ranging from 50" to 120".

Binary Series
The Binary Series snowblower is a new hydraulic snowblower designed for farmers that regularly use both a skid steer and a tractor for snow moving. Available for skid steers with standard or high flow hydraulics, the Binary Series capitalizes on more than a decade of Allied by Farm King experience in hydraulic snowblowers. What sets the Binary Series apart is the ability to convert the machine from a hydraulic drive to a PTO drive. By removing a few bolts and changing the mounting hardware, the snowblower can be attached to the 3-point hitch on a traditional farm tractor in less than an hour. The Binary Series combines the maneuverability of a hydraulic snowblower for routine snow clearing with the ability to move large amounts of heavy or wet snow using a tractor when more power is required. Allied Binary Series is available in sizes ranging from 50" to 84" widths and can be ordered with regular or Propeller Series augers.

Farm King Expands Liquid Fertilizer Product Line

February 13, 2013

LOUISVILLE, KY – February 13, 2013 – A new addition to the Farm King Application Equipment division will be introduced this week at the National Farm Machinery Show in Louisville, KY. The new model, a 60’ liquid fertilizer applicator, compliments and enhances the product offering.

Custom Tank Designs
Two tank configurations are available. The Model 1860 features an 1800 gallon tank while the Model 2460 has a 2400 gallon tank. The asymmetrical tank design features a hopper bottom style sump designed specifically by Farm King for this application. The tank design minimizes variances in tongue weight and toolbar down pressure despite diminishing tank levels. Additionally, the low center of gravity maximizes wheel tracking stability on side hills.

Raising the Bar
The toolbar is an exciting innovation from Farm King with an impressive 36” crop clearance. This allows for later season liquid application, widening the application window for fast-growing crops. When turning on the headlands, the toolbar lifts vertically and then rotates forward to provide industry-leading 54" of crop clearance. The ground contour following toolbar maintains consistent application depth, even in challenging field conditions.

The Farm King 1860 and 2460 will be available in limited quantities for spring 2013 with full production beginning this summer.

New Self-Contained Farm King Grain Vac

June 15, 2010

REGINA, SK – The Farm King line of grain handling equipment is expanding to include a self-contained grain vac. Based on the popular Farm King 6640, the new Farm King 6644 is a self-contained unit mounted on a rugged tandem-axle platform powered by a 4.5-liter Cummins engine.

New Brand Strategy announced by Buhler Industries

December 1, 2009

WINNIPEG, MB - Buhler Industries Inc (TSX: BUI) has released details on a new product brand plan, including the launch of two new company websites. Buhler Industries will now market products by two brand name groups including Versatile, introduced on the company's tractor line last year. The short-line division, including grain augers, grain vacs, hay tools, and crop application equipment including pull-type high clearance sprayers will now carry the Farm King brand name.

"We have been working on this brand strategy for more than two years," explains Adam Reid, marketing manager. "It started with the re-introduction of the Versatile brand in 2008, which was exceptionally well received by our dealers, farmers and the industry in general. Like Versatile, the Farm King brand has been around for decades and is still closely associated with our auger and snowblower lines, which was a major factor in our product brand planning. We also needed to keep the heritage Allied brand name, which will now be prominently featured as “Allied by Farm King” on our front-end loaders and commercial equipment such as rear blades and Triplex mowers."

The company also launched two new websites in conjunction with the rebranding initiative. The corporate website for Buhler Industries will be www.buhlerindustries.com, featuring details on the company and information for investors. This site links to the new product site for the Farm King division, www.farm-king.com. Both sites have been designed to be user friendly, with open and easy access to company and product information.
